This directory contains files for CCP4 release 6.1.3.

Naming Convention

<package>-<version>-src                      - source bundles
<package>->version>-<OS>-<platform>          - binary bundles

The subdirectories are:

.	Main packages (ccp4-6.1.3-... , phaser-2.1.4-... , chooch-5.0.2-...)
extras/	Extra packages including fasta, graphviz, and tcltk.
patches/	Patch files for upgrading earlier releases.
prerelease/	Updates which did not make it into the current release

Installation

Source.

...-src.tar.gz  - download and unpack tarball
                - edit ccp4-6.1.3/include/ccp4.setup- to reflect installation
                  location
                - source ccp4.setup-
                - arrange default installation
                  > ./configure
                  > make
                  > make install
                  > $CEXAM/unix/runnable/run-all

Binary for windows.

CCP4-Packages-OfflineInstaller-Singleuser.exe 
                - installer for a single user on Windows
                - download and run application.  You will be walked through
                  the installation

CCP4-Packages-OfflineInstaller-Alluser.exe 
                - installer for all users on Windows
                - download and run application.  You will be walked through
                  the installation

Binary for linux.

...-linux-i386.tar.gz - download and unpack tarball
                      - edit ccp4-6.1.3/include/ccp4.setup- to reflect
                        installation location
                      - source ccp4.setup-
                      - do binary setup
                        > BINARY.setup
                        > $CEXAM/unix/runnable/run-all

                            ppc - powerpc
                            i386 - install
                          - double click on image
                          - double click on installation
                          - customise for python version
                          - installed in /usr/local/ccp4-6.1.3 by default
                          - edit ccp4-6.1.3/bin/ccp4.setup- to
                            point to desired tcl tk
                          - source ccp4.setup-
                          - test installation
                            > $CEXAM/unix/runnable/run-all
                          - run ccp4i as super user 
                            > sudo -s (setup requires write access to
                                       /usr/local/ccp4-6.1.3)
                            > source /usr/local/bin/ccp4-6.1.3
                            > ccp4i
                            (installation of arp/warp etc will require same)
