How well are the scales determined?
• Parameters dependent on the primary beam direction (batch number, f rotation, time) are well-determined, since there are a large number of observations for each direction (all the spots on one image) (this is a 1-dimensional correction).
• Parameters dependent on the secondary beam direction are less well-determined, since for any direction there are relatively few observations (this is a 2-dimensional correction)
