CCP4MG is able to check for, download and install online updates for itself.
The user may check for options at any time by bringing up the online update dialog with: Tools->Check for Updates.. This shows something like the following:
Clicking the "Cancel" button will close the dialog. Clicking check will show something like:
if the program is up to date. If the program is not up to date, the install button will become highlighted and the text area will show what files are to be update.
Options can be changed by opening up the preferences pane: Edit->Preferences->Plugins preferences->Online update options.
The only option is to allow the program to check for updates at program startup. This option is useful for single-user machines and administrators of multi-user machines.
