October 1999, by Dave Love

* Dave Love <d.love@dl.ac.uk> has taken over maintenance from John
Campbell. It's not clear I'll be able to do much work on this that
isn't in support of PX stations at Daresbury, though.

* There is a clear licence -- see the file COPYING.

* Packaging has changed and monolithic source files have been split
up. There is a GNU-style configuration and build system for ease
and consistency of installation. Shared libraries may be built on
  systems supported by GNU Libtool.

Note that on Irix, at least, you need to be careful about the ABI
you compile for if you need to link with other non-system libraries,
such as the CCP4 library. configure will print a warning about
  this.

* Some routines from the LAUE library have been incorporated since
they are needed, e.g. for rotgen.
