To install the x-windows software it is advised that you firstly run the
$CCP4/configure with the option --with-x

If this does not work please contact CCP4 at ccp4@dl.ac.uk

a) ipdisp, hklview, xdlmapman, xdldataman (last two in directory
xdlgjk) and mosflm need the xdl_view library installing first.
Rotgen also requires the libjwc_c and libjwc_f libraries (in
 libjwc).

b) ipdisp requires image-unpacking routines pack_c and pack_f.
These used to require the --with-mosflm argument of configure, but
this option has been withdrawn, and these routines are now in the
 standard CCP4 library.

A rough procedure is as follows:

1) cd xdl_view/src
   edit Makefile, and type "make"

2) cd libjwc/libjwc_c
   edit Makefile, and type "make"

3) cd libjwc/libjwc_f
   edit Makefile, and type "make"

4) cd Rotgen
   edit Makefile, and type "make"

5) cd XCCPJIFFY
   follow 1ST_README

6) cd RasMol
   follow INSTALL

7) cd hklview
   edit Makefile, and type "make"

8) cd ipdisp/src
   edit Makefile, and type "make"

9) cd xdlgjk
   edit Makefile, and type "make"

10) edit Makefile(s) under Mosflm (cbf,index,mosflm)
       in x-windows "make mosflm"
    or in Mosflm/index "make DPS=...."
       and in Mosflm/cbf "make DPS=...."
and in Mosflm/mosflm "make mosflm DPS=...."
or follow procedure detailed in Mosflm/README.html (this will make ipmosflm)
